The discussion in this entry is about what kind of training programs are aviable and what benefit do they bring to the business.

  • Does your company offer On the Job Training (OJT)? Is it effective? Why/Why not?
  • What makes a good OJT program?
    • How long should it be scheduled for? Is it spanned over months or days?
    • How do you decide who trains it? Do you alternate trainers?
  • Should new joiners have the know how to do the job or should the business train?
  • Does your Human Resources (HR) offer additional training programs?
    • Are they effective? Why/Why not?
    • Do they need more? Why/Why not?
    • Does your HR let your employees know about such programs? Do you think they should do more/less?
    • Does your manager allow you to attend these programs? Why not?
    • Do you have enough time to participate in these? Why not?
      • Should employees be forced to join then?
    • Do you think the price for the value is good? Why/Why not?
  • Does your business permit outside training (as in they sponsor training programs or schooling)?
    • How does the business rope you in if they sponsor you?
    • What determines if the course can be sponsored?
  • What do you need to bring to the business after attending such programs? How do you demonstrate?
  • How do you convince your boss for additional training?
  • Do you think employees quit because of lack of (optional)  training? Why/Why not?
