ESL Business Teacher Articles: Change of Perspective

Change of perspective is about getting a different view on brainstorming new ideas. All teams tend to get stuck in a rut when having to come up with suggestions. One often says to “think out of the box” to come up something new. The purpose of this lesson is to look at these various methods to deriving new ideas and mentoring the facilitator to extract these nuggets or gems. In this lesson you will discuss:

  • what it means to be stuck in a rut
  • reflect on how you currently brainstorm
  • techniques on how to better brainstorm
  • HBR’s do and don’t in brainstorming
  • roleplaying a mentor to improve the facilitator’s skills
